Dahlia The tall, large-flowered exhibition types, sold as tubers, are planted 18" apart in a sunny location in rich, well-drained soil. They are used for mass effect, background and as cut flowers. They can grow up to 72" tall and bloom from June 'til frost. Dahlia tubers are available in the spring and can be saved year after year. The bedding types (Dahlia pinnata), which we sell as plants, are spaced 12", and bloom continually all summer. Plant in full sun. They are used for secondary borders, mass effect and cutting.

FIGARO SERIES-12". Mostly doubles. Bright mixture. Earlier. More dwarf and uniform than Rigoletto. 'Mix' (Orange, Red, White, Violet and Yellow) ROYAL DAHLIETTA SERIES: 7-10". Full sun. Best for bedding. 2 1/2 " flowers, compact plants. Grown from cuttings. 'Anna' - Deep orange, 'Apricot Sunrise' - Apricot and yellow, 'Caroline' - Light burgundy, 'Margaret' - Yellow.
