Plan Your Landscaping

Our Landscape Designers are exceptionally talented and starting February 15 you can start making appointments. There is no cost for their services from Feb.15th to March 15th. Good design and proper placement of plant material are essential to any planting. If you are going to invest in plants, invest wisely so that your plantings will increase the value of your house. Check out some of our landscape projects on the web.

Our weekly emails are very popular with those who love to garden. Garden tips are sent on a weekly basis and are based on the needs of your plants for that particular week. If you haven't signed up, do so. If you signed up before but got bumped off you will have to sign up again but on line At Sprainbrook.com. You will get email back asking you if you agree to be re-instated. If you have a friend who you think can benefit from them, have them sign up at Sprainbrook.com. Our emails are an important communication tool for better gardening. Particularly important as we lead you through the organic programs that will make your property lush, beautiful and healthy. All our organic programs are listed in my new book "12 Steps to Natural Gardening. This 33 Chapter book with over 300 pages is packed with valuable information that every gardener should have at their finger tips. Making the switch to organic gardening would be a great New Years resolution; not only for you but for a friend and for the environment.

Winter Lecture Series. : Starts in February, Perennials, Annuals, and Landscape Design. These are two hours in-depth lectures that start at 10.00 a.m. and end at 12.00 noon. Dates and times will be listed in our emails.

HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE WEEKEND: December 3rd and December 4th
This is one of our greatest events of the year. Holiday Open House is a long tradition at Sprainbrook Nursery. It's a time to have fun and do shopping. Roll the dice and win a plant. There is Coffee, German Stollen, Juice and Cookies for the Children. . A time to relax and interact while action is taking place at the dice table.

Make sure you bring the young and young at heart to see the train. Our track that runs overhead was built by Joe Tuttle more than ten years ago. He spent a whole winter building the trusstle that spans the Garden Center. The train is an LBG Model. We run the train once a year during the month of December. Bring your Children, grandchildren and their friends to follow the train with its whistle blowing, its breaks screeching and its smoke billowing. The background scenery was painted by our very own Rosa.
